Atsion Lake Paddle

Location: 744 Rt 206, Shamong,NJ 08088
11:30-4:00 - Launch time 12:30. 

NOTE: SUPs not allowed on this lake.

Atsion Lake in Wharton State Forest is a 62 acre lake with an average depth of 5 feet. 
There should not be an entrance fee to this State Park but if so it is minimal.
Bring your picnic lunch to eat before the paddle. There is a picnic area and restrooms.
Launch time 12:30 Paddle the lake -exploring the shoreline and coves -and possibly explore the headwaters of the upper Mullica if the water level is high enough.
There is a swimming beach and 2 short hiking trails to explore independently if you wish.
Meet at the boat launch, drop boats and gear and park your vehicle in the adjacent  lot. 
Bring water, hats, sunscreen, bug spray
PFD (must be worn) and snacks.
