About Our Club

• Sign COVID Guideline before participating in first Red Dragon Canoe Club Paddling Event
• Arrive on time for the event. 
• All paddlers must sign in on the RDCC Paddle Event Sign in Form with emergency contact information. 
• Communicate any important personal health information with the Trip Leader.
• All paddlers must wear a US Coast Guard approved personal flotation device with a whistle attached.
• Stay between the leader and sweep while on the water.
• Wear appropriate clothing (avoid cotton) and dress for immersion. 
• Bring sunscreen and insect repellent
• Wear appropriate footwear (no flip flops or barefoot)
• Have at least one change of clothing in a dry bag. 
• Bring water, snacks and food for yourself as needed. 
• Bring appropriate gear for kayaking as appropriate (bilge pump, paddle float, paddle leash, 
• Have appropriate lighting for evening paddles (white fore and aft lights, head light, flashlight, if on open waterway with other vessels the lights must be visible for two miles)
• Carpooling, ride sharing or anything similar is strictly a private arrangement among the participants and not part of the official club activity. Participants assume responsibility for travel. 
• You must assess the suitability and condition of your equipment and if a trip is within your abilities. 
• Beginner

• Advanced
• Check for updated information about the event.  Some paddles may have to be postponed or cancelled due to weather or other circumstances. 
• Trip Leaders have the final say on trip participation involving safety concerns.
• While on the water stay within shouting distance of each other. 

RDCC Paddling Events are open to Full Members.

Prospective members and guests on the paddles must be sponsored by a Full Member

Organized paddling trips can be found on the Red Dragon Canoe Club event calendar.

 In addition to these trips, there are a number of impromptu paddles throughout the week. The best way to stay involved is join the club and reach out to our paddling committee to become part of our communication chain!

The paddling committee is a dedicated team of volunteer that works tirelessly to plan and develop trips, activities and guidelines to help ensure a fabulous paddling season!
