On Saturday July 6th, I will be hosting a sailing dinghy regatta and have a cookout on the waterfront.

The captain's meeting, where we will decide on the course and number of races, will be at 9AM.
The first race will start at 10am. 
The goal is to have at least 3 races, with the best average winning the day!
Registration is $10 cash per boat, which will cover race fees and food for one sailor.
The races will be Portsmouth-Yardstick time-adjusted, using this chart from US Sailing -

Pre-registration is not required, but if you are interested in competing, please send me an email at commodore@reddragoncanoeclub.org - we need at least 3 boats to make it official!
if you have a friend from another club who has a dinghy sailboat, please invite them to compete and let me know!

There are a few small club boats (2-3 Sunfish and the Discoverer) to loan for interested club competitors. We do ask that you know how to handle the boat.
For anyone unfamilair with racing, I will clarify the rules at the Captain's meeting.

Races will end and the cookout will begin at 12PM!
Spectators, we ask to kindly donate $5 cash "into the hat" if you would like to join in the cookout. 
Everyone, please feel free to bring something to share.

Please note, if members have an interest in using the club Mariner this season, please make arrangements with the Harbormaster to launch the boat and place it on the mooring.
